Leading up to the Grand Prix season, the folks by One Kampong Gelam have put together GLAMboyant, a 10-day Formula 1 activation and street-side celebration that invites visitors to enjoy a variety of food, culture, music and sports activities.

The activations are located across five key areas of Kampong Glam. Feast on 15 grab-and-go food options in an open-air setting and enjoy live performances at Aliwal Street Carpark, catch traditional dance performances at Baghdad and Bussorah Street, and groove to street-side entertainment along Haji Lane. Head over to Sultan Gate for thrilling extreme sports BMX action, or pop over to Sultan Gate Park for an outdoor cinema and pop-up F1 track experience.

It’s Barbie’s world — we’re just living in it. More than just a trending ‘aesthetic’ at the moment, ‘Barbiecore’ is well and alive with ION Orchard’s latest ‘Barbie House of Dreams’ exhibition.

The exhibition features over 600 Barbie dolls, with the iconic doll character dressed in ensembles ranging from luxury design houses to homegrown labels. ION Orchard has also worked with various brands within the mall to present a variety of workshops and offerings that celebrate Barbie.

‘Art Encounters’ by local non-profit organisation Art Outreach is a travelling art installation that transforms shipping containers into art spaces. The exhibition’s current stop is at Plaza Singapura and will showcase Till the Last Blossom, a site-specific paper installation and wall mural, along with drawings and sculptural objects by local artist Ashley Yeo.

On a mission to reduce food wastage? Join a passionate group of friends at Beauty World as they showcase how we can practise food segregation and put food waste to good use. Through this experience, you’ll also learn about the different methods of composting and discover how compost can be applied to farming and the production of edible plants.

Dempsey Hill will be home to even more exciting events this weekend, with the launch of the Jo Malone London ‘Enchanted World of English Pear & Freesia’ event taking place at SPRMKT and with Motoring Heritage Day being celebrated as well. Admire beautiful vintage cars, book a vintage car ride for SGD20 and enjoy delicious bites from Blu Kouzina restaurant. All proceeds from the vintage car ride experience will be donated to Breast Cancer Foundation.

Singapore virtual fashion festival The Front Row returns for the third consecutive year with #Fashtag at Raffles City Singapore. The festival will feature a slew of exhibitions, cabin shows, talks and workshops that are open to the public.

Check out #FashionFutureFaces, which will showcase works created by fashion students from Raffles Design Institute, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and LASALLE College of the Arts. There’s also #REDUCE #REUSE #RECYCLE, a collaboration with spatial designer Aaron Lim who will upcycle an existing Raffles City festival set.

Next stop, sunny Sentosa. The hot tourist spot has opened a Central Beach Bazaar at Siloso Beach featuring a 24-storey-high Sentosa Skyjet fountain, an international food street and more. The Bazaar is also home to the 'new' Sentosa Musical Fountain with daily shows available. Come December, visitors will also be able to try out new games and experiences, including the Power Boat Racing Simulator and Beach Carnival Games.

Someone said “ice cream”? Popular ice cream-themed attraction The Museum of Ice Cream Singapore will be throwing Singapore’s “biggest ice cream party” to celebrate its first anniversary. Organised by DesignSingapore Council, the creative event aims to showcase “the best of Singapore and beyond” through a myriad of activities and experiences.
