When planning your next event or birthday party, you may wonder what the missing link is. Desireé Dierksen, owner of Sugar Floss Catering Cart, has the answer; cotton candy.

Dierksen lives in High Springs with her husband Matthew, who is from Gillette, Wyoming. The couple met at the university and then came back to call High Springs home.

Dierksen's journey into the world of marshmallows came from a very simple source; her husband really liked marshmallows.

"My husband likes cotton candy, we will come to Sackers to buy their small bags," Dierksen said.

"So last Christmas, I decided to buy us a cotton candy machine. I typed on the cotton candy machine on Amazon. On a whim, I put it in the shopping cart and bought it," she added with a smile.

Friends of the couple came over, and Dilkson was starting the machine to make delicious food for them. People generally think that Dierksen's marshmallows are delicious.

Subsequently, Desireé began to expand her business beyond just friends and family.

Her Facebook page: Sugar Floss Catering Cart is where you start to view all the products and services she offers. You can message her there to arrange meals or order some of her delicacies.

In retail, Dierksen sells buckets and bags of marshmallows and candied pecans at Sackers in Hay Springs every day.

For dining, Sugar Floss has two options.

The first option is to let her come to your event or party and sell her freshly made marshmallows on site. Customers will pay with marshmallow sticks.

The second option is to pay a flat rate of $125 per hour and have as many marshmallows as possible for up to 20 people. If your party has more than 20 people, an additional fee will be charged.

Dierksen will let you stand there to make marshmallows, which you can enjoy while it is still warm. This is what Desireé said you must go through.

"A lot of people don't realize that fresh marshmallows are warm. It's a different experience," Dilkerson said.

"When I have the opportunity to do something new, I just think it's more fun to make it," she added.

Dierksen will host the Black Friday Sale and Live Spin at Sackers on Friday, November 26.

You can send a message to Sugar Floss on Facebook to book your snack basket, as there are limited quantities on the day of the promotion.

There are three types of snack baskets: small, medium and large. The full details are listed on her Facebook page.

So whether you are driving through High Springs or want to upgrade your party game to the next level, if you need to repair marshmallows in Sheridan County, Dierksen can meet your needs.
