Whether you are a pinball wizard or just want to have some fun, this arcade is one of the most kept secrets in downtown Allegan. When I was a kid growing up in Allegan, there were only a few things I could do as a pastime: Either go to Pizza Hut to fill the dorm with jukeboxes, or go to the Old Regency Theatre to watch a movie. Fortunately, in recent years, exciting new commercial enterprises have emerged in Allegan city centre, which now include two craft breweries, a stylish new factory store and Regent Arcade.

What used to be the old storage room behind the Regency Theatre, is now a family-friendly place with nine pinball machines, iconic arcade games and several classic game consoles such as Nintendo, Sega Genesis and Atari. Each game console has more than 50 games to choose from.

The Regent Arcade is a joint venture between Allegan City and Town Entertainment Co., Ltd. and opened in 2019. To enter this hidden arcade, you have to walk along the alley on the east side of the Regent Theatre. In the blink of an eye, you will miss it!

I am by no means a pinball fanatic, but I like to try to play those flippers! Half of the time I don’t know what’s going on in the game, I just like the flashing lights, interesting music and nostalgic feeling!

The age of Regent Arcade's pinball machines spans the past eight years, and the oldest of these machines was made in 1938-it's almost nostalgic! The machines are changed frequently, which means you can keep your skills fresh.

Next time you are in Allegan, after watching a movie at the Old Regent Theatre, you might as well take a stroll in the arcade. The arcade is usually open a few hours before and after the screening time. Also brought some changes! The prices of most games range from free games to 75 cents per game.
