According to reports, data miners have found references to Disney heroes

Captain America and Indiana Jones may be the latest crossover characters in Call of Duty.

Data miners claim to have found references to two characters in the Call of Duty: Pioneer game files, as well as artwork that appears to appear in the game operator's store (posted by Twitter users below).

VGC also saw other works of art purported to be extracted from Vanguard's game files, including player cards featuring Indy and Cap.

The novels of these two Disney-owned characters are very much in line with the timeline of Pioneers, because the origin story of Captain America and almost all of Indiana Jones' adventures took place before and after World War II.

Call of Duty recently has a history of connecting its online products with popular Hollywood movies. Earlier this year, Warzone's Verdansk 1984 map coincided with the addition of Die Hard and John Rambo's John McClane.

Then this summer, it teamed up with Rebellion Developments to bring the iconic comic hero Judge Dred into the war zone. Warzone's annual Halloween event also added characters from Scream, Saw and Texas Chainsaw Massacre for purchase.

Previously, the movie bundle of "Call of Duty" sold for approximately 2,400 CoD points (approximately US$20) and included additional weapon skins, badges and emojis.

Since Vanguard will be integrated with Warzone next month, the new operators (if they are real) will also be available for the battle royale game.

Captain America and Indiana Jones are the latest suspected pioneer content discovered by data miners. Earlier this week, users discovered detailed information about new operators who might enter the game, as well as further evidence of the upcoming attack on Titan crossover.

Dataminer Nanikos released the first picture of what it is said are three new playable characters entering the game, probably in season 1. They are Francis (United States), Lewis (United States) and Isabella (Philippines).

Another data miner, Zesty, also claims to have found references to more upcoming Operators, including Anna, Gustavo, Imp, and Thomas.

Last week, data miners found hints of a Vanguard crossover plan with the popular anime "Attack on Titan", including possible operators and weapon packs.

Further evidence has since been discovered in the form of a sword model, which is expected to be released as part of the crossover.

Call of Duty: Pioneer and Warzone Season 1 will be released on December 2 with the new Pacific map of the Battle Royale game, Caldera.

According to VGC's "Call of Duty Pioneer" review, Sledgehammer's game "feels like a solid upgrade of the Black Ops Cold War, but it does not reach the benchmarks of modern warfare in 2019."
