The other members of the Associated Press National Team for the 2021-22 preseason are NaLyssa Smith (Baylor), Paige Bueckers (Connecticut), Rhyne Howard (Kentucky) and Aliyah Boston (South Carolina).

Clark, a native of West Des Moines, led Iowa to the Sweet 16 last season with a record of 20-10. She started in all 30 games and led the country in six different statistical categories:

Earlier today, Hy-Vee revealed that they will hold a press conference on Wednesday afternoon to announce the establishment of a new partnership with Clark. Clark will attend the press conference with Matt Nichol, Hy-Vee's vice president of sports marketing. The press conference will be held at Crossroad Park Hy-Vee in Coralville on Wednesday, October 27th at 3:15 pm.

In the Associated Press pre-season survey, the Iowa women's basketball team ranked 9th in the United States. They will play an exhibition match against Truman State University in Iowa City on Thursday, November 4. The regular season will begin on Tuesday, November 9th at 5:30 pm against New Hampshire. That game was also held at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena, where college basketball fans in Iowa will be able to see Clark play in person for the first time since high school.
