October is full of sports, large and small, from racing and games to shooting and jumping. Want to win a grotesque horror movie in a nightmarish world? How about solving puzzles with LEGO blocks and customizing a recreation park? Done and done with plenty of other options available.

While LEGO Brawls was all about combat, Clockstones a more chilled-out experience. This means that parts of the map are decimated, the time machines are broken and the survivors are beating up in a pulp. Dragon Ball: The Breakers is out on October 13th for Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

New Tales from the borderlands.

Gearbox Entertainment is returning to the fantasy-like format (sans Telltale Games) with New Tales from the Borderlands. On October 21st, the launch of the Xbox and PlayStation platforms, and the Xbox and Nintendo Switch, features three new characters scientist Anu, her brother Octavio and Fran, who’s a frozen yogurt store. Together they will find a Vault Key while avoiding Pandora’s numerous hazards and corporate entities together.

Mario + Rabbids yell at hope.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was already a stellar title, with two unlikely intellectual properties mixed together in a strategy RPG bonanza. But Sparks of Hope looks really bigger. This includes multiple planets to explore, massively expanded exploration with puzzles, side quests and secrets, and a new antagonist in Cursa. The new combat, balancing the grid-based movement, and adding new abilities, and the Sparks for elemental damage.

If that weren’t enough, new characters like Edge, Rabbid Rosalina and Bowser join the iceberg roster for a more unique squad. The Spark of Hope from Mario + Rabbids is coming exclusively for Nintendo Switch on October 20th.

I’ll have siblings’ travels to a mysterious island, where they can’t even cure Hugos disease. A mercenary hunts it, and the plague rats are so hungry that they are no longer ideal.

Having new weapons like a crossbow, alchemical potions and Hugos ability to control all his foes and devoured, The Plague Tale: Requiem is a much more exciting experience. It opens with Game Pass in October 18th on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.

If you don’t have a room for Scorn, you will probably be in trouble. The game pass will come on October 21st, along with the Xbox Series X/S and PC.

The final WRC racing game for KT Racing is scheduled for October 13th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5, with the PC version due in November. It’s the biggest yet with a new and redesigned physics, a new hybrid car, and new models, the sands and the 750 km of track in 22 countries. Lastly, Progression has been revamped, and all of the game’s tasks are tracked, and with more options as well as the ability to share your creations with other players. The new Leagues mode will probably satisfy fans at some point on the long haul.

Does your hearthstone and Marvel exist? Worry not, the film Marvel Snap releases on October 18th for PC, Android and iOS. Developed by Second Dinner Studios and consists of Hearthstone veterans, its a 1v1 multiplayer CCG with over 150 unique cards to play (and new ones later).

Matches play out in random locations with different effects and players can effectively double down in a match. If it overtakes Hearthstone or Legends of Runeterra, the fast-paced gameplay and stunning comic book illustrations are worth a visit.

Blizzard Entertainments Overwatch 2 finally launches its first, most recent release, on October 4th. This is an open-source, free-to-play title that will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series and PlayStation 3. It’s an update to Overwatch 1 with three new heroes: Sun and Kiriko, new characters and six new maps, and a push mode. Assault is out, and the team now consist of five players only with one tank. A seasonal model for content releases is available, with no more loot boxes but “yes” to an in-game store and Battle Passes.

Time will tell how the world looks. All players will need to protect their SMS, while new players will need to unlock each hero and play 50 Quick Play games to unlock Competitive (not to mention the unlocking of Kiriko, and the new arrivals in the Battle Pass). But at least it supports cross-play and cross-progression with all Overwatch 1 cosmetics carrying over.

Two years after the PGA Tour 2K21, the next edition of the golf simulator 2K Games will be available on October 14th for Xbox One, Xbox X/S, PC, PS4 and PS5. Except for the usual PGA Tour mode and MyPLAYER (who offers new skills and archetypes), pros are now playingable. For the course designer, it will help you with support for cross-platform communication, and a shared link. With multiple control options, Online multiplayer (including Divot Derby) and Online Societies for Clubhouses, it should be a great leap over its predecessor.

EA Sports NHL 23 also launches on October 14th. The hockey sim is packed with mixed womens and mens teams in Ultimate Team mode. It also features a new game like Last Chance Puck Movement. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed: They displaced their heads.

Systemic Reaction, which is in the news for its upcoming open-world rogue-lite Ravenbound, will release its co-op dinosaur shooter Second Extinction on October 20th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The idea is to survive against hordes of dinosaurs and two other players; but there are six heroes, eleven weapons and multiple missions to tackle.
