The selection of App Store Greats offered through Apple Arcade subscription service continues to increase. Galaga Wars and Kingdom Rush Frontiers TD were added on Friday.

They have joined many other classic games. Players used to have to pay separately to play, but now they only need to subscribe to Apple Arcade once to use. In addition, there are more original games.

Galaga Wars brings classic arcade shooting game to iPhone/iPad. And Kingdom Rush Frontiers TD is a fantasy-themed tower defense game for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

These versions differ from the original version in that they eliminate the need for in-app purchases. Apple Arcade doesn't allow them. The same goes for ads, loot boxes, and intrusive player tracking.

The two games added on Friday are just the latest App Store Greats to expand the options in the game service. In recent weeks, Apple Arcade has launched:

But the service is not just a collection of classics. It also has new games, including more than 100 games such as NBA 2K22, Lego Star Wars Battle, SpongeBob Squarepants: Patty Hunt.

It costs $4.99 a month to access all these new and classic titles. One subscription applies to up to six family members.
