It's that time of year again.

Patch 11.23 marks the biggest and most anticipated update this year-the 2022 League of Legends preseason.

The pre-season game will be held on the real-time server on Wednesday, November 17th, bringing a radical change to the game, including new chemical technology and Hextech Dragon, six new projects, 24 project updates, and three symbols. Text changes, target bounty and return to the ultimate spell.

To celebrate Riot's popular Netflix series "Arcane", the preseason continued to explore the story between the orphan Jinx and Wei through new events, theme updates, secret council archives and interactive content.

There are many things to unravel. The following is a complete list of changes to the 2022 preseason.

The target bounty is another way for the losing team to return to the game. When the team is far behind and difficult to claim-but not impossible, they will provide additional gold rewards for accomplishing their goals.

Riot wants to make the winning team's lead play a role, so the losing team must seize the goal to fulfill it. The developers hope that Objective Bounties will allow players to execute brain strategies to balance the game without having to wait to take advantage of the opponent's mistakes.

The target bounty will only be activated when one team is sufficiently behind, and the target to which the bounty will be paid will be highlighted on the minimaps of both teams. If the failed team chooses a target with an active bounty, each of its members will receive target bounty coins.

They are calculated in the background based on four factors, including XP lead, gold lead, dragon lead and turret lead. When the bounty is activated, every target available to the team behind will receive the bounty.

The bounty starts from the following and is evenly distributed to all five team members:

As the failed team lags farther behind, these basic amounts can increase by up to 60%. The exact bounty for each reward will be visible under the goal icon of the winning team in the tab menu.

The target bounty is activated 15 seconds after the team is below the threshold, and deactivated 15 seconds after the team is above the threshold. If the losing team continues to fight against targets with active bounties, this deactivation timer will be extended.

Riot will introduce two new dragons to Summoner's Canyon in the preseason, with new buffs, soul and terrain effects. The terrain selection rate for Chemtech Rift and Hextech Rift will be doubled during patch 11.23, allowing players to learn about the new mechanics.

Riot said that Chemtech's dragons are playing on the edge, taking planned risks, and fighting for every scrap. The soul encourages players to grow bigger or go home and exchange their lives for high-value games.

According to Riot, the Hextech dragon is to control the map, clamp your enemy, and trap the enemy team for wombo combination. The soul gives a unique lightning, which slows down the enemy's speed, allowing the player to control team battles and hunt down the skirmishers

According to Riot, although the Yunlong buff is "very powerful", it has not been loved by too many people this year. It's difficult to adjust, because it needs to provide a lot of ultimate skill acceleration to become a powerful reward, but it can't be so powerful that it completely distorts the game. In order to solve this problem, the developers are making some adjustments.

According to Riot, the first Rift Raptor spawned "too much influence" in determining the outcome of the early game. Therefore, developers are reducing its importance by reducing XP. It's easier to beat now.

The developers added some new items for the wizard, tank, bruise, and assassin in the preseason.

Riot hopes to make the following changes to the tank items to create more "differentiations" while still providing players with the durability needed for success. The developers also provided more health for the tank myth passive, so players can "better" progress throughout the game.

According to Riot, the selection of wizard items this season is "very limited." Developers are making some less general options, but have opened up projects in other areas to attract preseason capable super users.

Riot's goal is to close the gap between mythical items and Youmuu in the preseason, for melee deadly users.

Ultimate Spellbook will return in the preseason, but there is a turning point. Riot added several new ultimate skills to the ultimate summoner spell pool, hero selection ban, new jungle automatic strike function, and special interactions with the new Chemtech and Hextech dragons.

Ultimate Spellbook will be available from November 18, 2021 to January 10, 2022

Developers are introducing a feature called Auto-Smite, so that junglers can still select Summoner skills other than Smite in this mode.

During the hero selection period, the jungler will be locked to use automatic punishment instead of the placeholder ultimate summoner spell. Auto-Smite is replaced by Ult-ernate, which you select at the beginning of the game, to provide you with a buff also known as Auto-Smite.

Riot also launched a new jungle entry item called Obsidian Edge, which is only available on Ultimate Spellbook. It has the same statistics as the other two jungle items, but only has different completion standards for automatic strikes, and does not have the impact of cold or challenge strikes on heroes.

The only dragons spawned in this mode are the new Hectech and Chemtech dragons. Whenever your team kills one of the dragons, your team will also receive an Echo of Destruction buff.

In order to "simplify" Caitlin's future visual effects, skin and overall development, the developers provided artistic and sustainable updates for the champion. The game models, voice-overs, sound effects and visual effects of Caitlin and her eight skins have all been modernized.

The following changes apply to Base, Arcade, Prestige Arcade, Headhunter, Lunar Wraith, Officer, Pool Party and Safari Caitlyn, except for the new VO. The VFX, SFX, splash art and in-game models of these skins have been updated to varying degrees.

The following update only applies to base and Debonair Jayce (except VO). The VFX and in-game models of Debonair, Forsaken, Full Metal, Jayce Brighthammer and Resistance Jayce have also been updated to varying degrees.

The following updates apply to bases, ambitious elves, crime cities, heart seekers, firecrackers, odysseys, and zombie killer Jinx. The in-game models of Crime City, Firecrackers, and Zombie Killer Jinx have been cleaned up to varying degrees.

According to the initial results, Riot initially disabled/all chats in several areas in patch 11.21, and developers will continue to disable it where it has taken effect. But they will not add additional areas for now.

Summoner’s Canyon rankings and end-of-season honor awards will be issued starting from this patch and will be completed on December 16. Clash end-of-season rewards will also be issued from this patch and will be completed on the same date.

The team formation for the first weekend of the Ixtal-themed conflict event will begin on November 15th. The competition will take place on November 20th and 21st. The team formation for the second weekend will begin on November 29th and will be held in December. 4 and 5.

The drop rate of loot content (now called loot odds) will soon be displayed in the League of Legends client store. Starting from patch 11.23 later, Loot Odds will slowly roll out globally.

Tooltips for many items and runes have been updated, including a stat tracker so that players can evaluate their impact throughout the game.
