Mayor Pat Cadle stated that the Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a "Breakfast with the Mayor" on the last Saturday of each month. The next breakfast will be on Saturday, October 30 at 9 AM in Country Kitch'n in April. Held until 10 o'clock.

Mayor Cadle said that the breakfast was designed to provide another way to communicate with villagers. Speakers from different agencies in Tuscarawas County will also be invited to speak.

Officials in Newcomerstown said that the village has reached the time of the year to fall leaves. The street department requested cooperation to remove them and will use the same cleanup schedule as last year.

On designated days, the leaves are to be raked to the street. Residents must rake them about a foot away from the side of the road so that the water can flow to the sewer. Don't put leaves on the side of the road. If the leaves are on the side of the road, the only things that will be picked up are things that can be reached by the machine. The staff did not have time to ask for leave on the street because it would leave them behind to complete each area on the designated date. The staff will start at 7 am

Officials said it was important to rake the leaves into the street the night before the scheduled date. The staff can only pass once a day. Don't put brushes and rubbish in the pile of leaves. If these items are found, the leaves will not be picked up. Do not park the car in front of the pile of leaves so that the leaf machine has room to pick them up.
