Batman's most famous rogues gallery members have become video game staples over the years, but there are some who are still to make their debut.

Batman has one of the largest collections of villains of any superhero, so it's not surprising that many of them have yet to appear in a video game. While many of his most famous enemies such as the Joker and Penguin have made themselves known in games, they are far from his only adversaries. Batman has many foes who could bring something unique to his games, some of which haven't been given so much as an Easter egg or reference in Rocksteady's expansive Batman: Arkham series.

With Gotham Knights, Wonder Woman, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in development, DC video games seem to be experiencing a boom period. However, the Arkhamverse games starring Batman were among DC's most popular offerings before this recent surge, so Batman games have already shown their strength. With Batman's biggest villains already earning Gotham Knights roles, many of his lesser-known foes are left without anything to do. In fact, some of his less-famous enemies could make for interesting opponents if incorporated into a future Batman game.

While some bland and one-off characters may not be worth bringing into a game, the Caped Crusader still has several interesting enemies to choose from. Whether as a side villain or a major threat, they have plenty to offer. They may not be big names at the moment, but a role in a game and a good performance could easily elevate them to newfound stardom.

Lenny Fiasco was never an impressive person, a former classmate of Bruce Wayne known for making mistakes. However, his life changed when he became the masked criminal known as the Eraser. Wearing his eraser helmet, which looks astonishingly like a pencil eraser, Lenny can erase evidence from the scene of a crime. Arkham didn't show Batman's detective skills, but they are his greatest abilities, and Eraser can stop him from using them effectively. Rather than work as an independent criminal, he usually hires his services out to other villains. In exchange for pay, he removes traces of their crimes.

Befitting his usual role, the Eraser would make for an excellent recurring supporting antagonist. As the main villain runs a crime spree through Gotham City, the Eraser keeps removing evidence from the scene, keeping Batman from tracking them down. This would force Batman to shift focus on the Eraser for a time, capitalizing every time Lenny makes a mistake in order to catch him and bring him to justice. Once the Eraser is unable to cover the main antagonist's tracks, Batman would be much more successful in catching them in the act.

The Eraser is admittedly a gimmicky villain, and his costume is very silly. However, the Batman: Arkham games had excellent side missions, and Eraser could lead such a mission easily. his ability to erase evidence could bring a legitimately interesting twist to a Batman game. After all, he may be the World's Greatest Detective, but he can't use those skills if he has nothing to work with. Because of this, the Eraser could be a compelling thorn in Batman's side during his time in a given game.

Thomas Wayne is not a name that usually comes to mind when one thinks about Batman villains. After all, Thomas was Bruce Wayne's father who was tragically killed in the incident that became the first step toward Bruce becoming Batman. While Gotham PD being villains in Gotham Knights sounds like a valid theory, an evil Thomas could sound absurd. However, after the Thomas Wayne of Earth 0 witnessed his son's death that fateful night, he turned into a rather brutal Batman. When he discovered his son's existence in the main continuity years after the events of Flashpoint, he became an unlikely enemy as he tried to force Bruce to retire.

Fighting against Thomas would be a different experience for Bruce than the norm. Thomas believes that he can help Bruce be happier, but his methods are extreme and misguided. He is actually not a major threat to Bruce, but rather the rest of the Bat Family, as he sees them as holding Bruce back from being able to retire from crimefighting. Even with Red Hood not totally fitting in Gotham Knights, the Bat Family are the people closest to Bruce, and it is the threat Thomas poses to them that makes him an enemy.

In the comics, Earth 0 Thomas has already been redeemed, but the video games are set in a different continuity. Batman battling another Batman on its own would be an intriguing premise for a game. With all of Thomas' connections to Bruce and motivations taken into account, a game featuring him could be something truly special.

Lord Death Man is a villain who is as outrageous as his name. A man with the ability to imitate death and recover from fatal injuries, he is a classic villain who recently resurfaced. Lord Death Man truly relishes every moment of his villainy. He is completely devoted to performing evil for its own sake, but is still a major threat. With most Batman: Arkham villains being admittedly overused, Lord Death Man could easily take a spot in an upcoming game.

In a video game, Lord Death Man would almost definitely make a spectacle in all of his scenes. He is a complete ham in the comics, and he would likely bring that same energy into a game. He would probably be most suited as a comedic villain, with his over-the-top antics providing a contrast with the serious and stonefaced Batman. He would provide plenty of fun as Batman tore down his grandiose plans, and his rants and tantrums would have plenty of entertainment value. In addition, the comics recently gave him a not-entirely-evil sidekick named Flatline who has a connection to Bruce's son Damian, adding more intrigue. Batman: Arkham Origins gave Joker a fantastic story, and a future game could do the same for Lord Death Man.

Lord Death Man is as outrageous as he is callous, and it is strange that he has yet to have a mainstream breakout. As a character almost as theatrical as the Joker, he seems like a natural choice to cross over into the mainstream. With his personality and style, a video game role could be a big break for Lord Death Man.

Batman villains have been pulled from obscurity to great effect before, and a new game could do it again. Giving some attention to Bruce Wayne's lesser-known enemies could pay off, making a more unique and memorable game in the process. Given how popular DC games where Batman is playable have proven to be, that may be a wise move going forward.
